Here it is, my latest animation. Once again rather experimental, but i just really enjoy making these :)
In other news, here's a short film me and bunch of colleagues made for university, about half a year ago:
"Watching Television"
But there's more! Me and a friend started a VJ project called Figment. I've been interested in performing live visuals for quite a while and now I finally found someone to team up with ;)
Our first public performance will probably be at the Melting Pot in St Poelten, Austria. Which will probably not matter for about 99.99% of NG's visitors. Either way, for the very unlikely case that you're from Austria, be so kind and visit the Melting Pot homepage and vote for Figment as Visual Artist! It won't matter much since probably all 3 VJs will perform, then again, it's about HONOUR! And while you're at it, feel free to also drop a vote for my friends from Trashcanned (Live Bands) and Freibier (specials)
Anything else to say? Ah, yes. The t-shirts for the MINDistortion contest winners have been shipped. But I already notified them anyways, so posting it here is rather pointless. Why do it then? Because I can.

About 3 years ago I made a simple game about living the innocent life of a Bubble.
Now it's sequel time and here it is: Bubbles 2
With twice as many power-ups as the original game and a physics based 2 Player modus. For players on MINDistortion.tv there's also the SugarRush mode available which will give you a power-up overload :)
On a further note, one kid once left a review for Bubbles complaining about the Bubble not even being able to shoot and stuff. Guess what. There's a new power-up to take care of these needs as well. See? I care about your reviews ;)

Congrats to the winners and thanks a lot to everyone who participated! :)
God's away, God's away, God's away on business...

In other news, I made some music. Not the good sort of music. But that won't stop me from messing around with people's ears. The two tracks can be found on my alternate account heritek.newgrounds.com
Also, I've jumped on the draw-yourself-NG-staff-style bandwagon.
And at last but not least, I just can't resist using the post mood emoticons.

One of my illustrations got licensed as cover art for the recently published book "The Sabotage Cafe" by Joshua Furst. The cover is based on a stencil graffiti portrait I made of Tina, who once used to be my girlfriend. She also played the leading role in the recently released first music video from my friends of the band Trashcanned.
In other news, I fixed and improved Animotion! Now you can directly link to your Animotion sequences. Victory Dance!
MINDistortion is back at last, however now under the domain MINDistortion.tv. To learn what exactly had happened, please refer to my news post "The MINDistortion Situation". It's a sad and complicated matter.
You might still stumble over occasional missing pages on the site, but I managed to get most things up and running again. Everything else will follow, but I wanted to get the site back online as soon as the most important parts of the site have been restored.
Some of you might notice that a lot of posts in the MINDistortion forum have been lost. The last backup was from January, so some people might have to re-register their forum accounts. Same thing for Iwantyoursoul, just that the last backup was EVEN older. Don't ask. I could have sworn I had a newer backup.
Alright, that's it for now. More news will follow. Spread the word that MINDistortion has returned as MINDistortion.tv!
7 comments | Log in to comment! | Share this!Alright, people have been wondering what happened to MINDistortion for quite a while now and I suppose it's time to clear some things up.
As only few of you know, MINDistortion had been hosted by an online buddy of mine from Sweden, Gabriel. He basically saved MINDistortion 3 years ago, helping me out in a time where I wasn't able to go anywhere, due to my high bandwidth needs (it was the time of Bubbles release).
Gabriel not only took care of hosting the site, but also provided me with the .net domain. All this, without ever asking for something in return.
So what does this have to do with everything? Well, you might have noticed that MINDistortion has been broken since the end of July. And that a placeholder website has appeared where once my website was. I tried reaching Gabriel several times since the first time the server problems occurred. But no reply. The guy seemed to have vanished.
It was not until after 2 weeks that I got contacted by a cousin of his to learn the tragic truth:
Gabriel had died of cancer at the end of June. He was about my age. The last thing we talked about were his vacation plans for the summer. And although I unfortunately never had the chance to meet him in person, it's nonetheless a great loss for me.
Now with Gabriel having deceased but still being the official owner of MINDistortion.net things prove itself troublesome. The domain expired at the beginning of August (hence the placeholder website) which doesn't make things much better. Expired, but not lost yet.
The situation is, that I'm currently keeping my fingers crossed that Gabriel's cousin is able to transfer the domain to me. If not, things will start getting dirty and I'll have to deal with domain snatchers. A nasty business, it is.
But whatever happens, MINDistortion WILL return. Worst case scenario being that I'll have to use a different domain. But the name will stay the same. I've already got a spare domain registered, just to be on the safe side. So, no worries.
However it will probably still take a few weeks until the domain issues will be resolved. Until then, my old MINDistortion.tk domain (that fortunately still is under my control) will be redirected to this, my NG userpage. For the obvious reasons that I can easily post news here and because many of my flash games and movies can be viewed here as well.
I'll keep you posted.

This couldn't have happened during a more inapropiate time, since, well the Contest Entries should be getting voted on by now. Keep your fingers crossed that this issue will soon be resolved.
My apologies to everyone who took part in the Contest - The voting will of course take place and the winners will get their prizes, but for now I can't tell when. I'm on pins and needles.
